RN – Telemetry
Location: Mount Sinai Hospital, 1111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025
Schedule:*DAY SHIFT 7AM-7:30PM, EOW IS REQUIRED**
Shift Type: 12-hour Day Shift
Start Date: 01/05/2026
Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent, and quality patient care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices. The nurse is responsible for caring for a designated group of patients and their families in a telemetry/med-surg setting.
Major Clinical Duties:

Provide patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices in telemetry/med-surg units.

Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret ECGs, and manage acute changes in patient condition.

Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage lines, drains, and ventilators as needed.

Educate patients and families on disease management, care plans, and post-hospital care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Qualifications / Skills:

NYS RN License (active)
-
BSN required
-
BLS & ACLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years RN experience
-
Minimum 2 years Telemetry and Med-Surg experience
-
Ventilator experience preferred
-
Travel experience preferred (1 year)

EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
