RN – Telemetry

Location: Mount Sinai Hospital, 1111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025
Schedule:*DAY SHIFT 7AM-7:30PM, EOW IS REQUIRED**
Shift Type: 12-hour Day Shift

Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent, and quality patient care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices. The nurse is responsible for caring for a designated group of patients and their families in a telemetry/med-surg setting.

Major Clinical Duties:

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices in telemetry/med-surg units.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret ECGs, and manage acute changes in patient condition.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage lines, drains, and ventilators as needed.

• Educate patients and families on disease management, care plans, and post-hospital care.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.

Qualifications / Skills:

• NYS RN License (active)

• BSN required

• BLS & ACLS certification required

• Minimum 2 years RN experience

• Minimum 2 years Telemetry and Med-Surg experience

• Ventilator experience preferred

• Travel experience preferred (1 year)

• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
