Description
Title: Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Kenosha, WI
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (two days 7:00–17:00, two days 7:00–18:00)
Responsibilities:
-
Provide one-on-one outpatient orthopedic physical therapy services.
-
Perform patient evaluations, reassessments, and discharges.
-
Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-term goals.
-
Deliver 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions with no overlapping patients.
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient encounters.
-
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, medications, safety, and injury prevention.
-
Utilize clinic equipment and private treatment rooms in a gym-based outpatient setting.
-
Manage a daily caseload of approximately 8–9 patients.
-
Float within outpatient therapy locations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience.
-
Active state physical therapy license (pending license acceptable prior to start).
-
BLS certification.
-
Prior charge or lead experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
-
Strong orthopedic assessment and treatment skills.
-
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
-
Epic charting experience.
-
Experience with community-based outpatient clinics.
-
Advanced orthopedic experience including:
-
Post-operative cervical, shoulder, and spinal care
-
Spinal mobilization and complex spinal conditions
-
Total hip and knee replacements
-
Tendinopathies, joint injuries, and arthritis management
-
-
Familiarity with multiple payor types (Commercial, Medicare B, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation).
Clinical Skills & Competencies:
-
Orthopedic assessment techniques (AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, pain assessment).

Gait training and extremity mobilization.
-
Safe use of assistive devices (crutches, walkers, gait belt).
-
Strong time management and documentation skills.
-
Patient and family education, including recognition of abuse signs and symptoms.

Outpatient orthopedic clinic

1:1 patient ratio
