Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Duration: 4-Week Contract (ASAP start through 02/06/2026) | 40 hours per week
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8 hours | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver daily radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients according to prescribed treatment plans

• Perform patient positioning, tumor localization, and pretreatment setup using immobilization devices

• Operate radiation therapy equipment and imaging systems to ensure accurate dose delivery

• Calculate and verify radiation doses in collaboration with the radiation oncology team

• Utilize treatment planning systems and imaging for treatment verification (CBCT, kV/mV imaging)

• Maintain radiation safety standards and follow isolation and emergency protocols

• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to rapid response or emergency situations as needed

• Document treatment delivery and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record

• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 25 patients per therapist

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Radiation Therapist

• Active California state license

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)

• ARRT certification (Radiography)

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Experience with external beam radiation therapy and IMRT

• Proficiency in treatment planning and dose calculation

• Experience using Varian 21 EX/iX equipment

• ARIA system experience required

• Familiarity with EPIC charting (preferred but not required)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems

• Strong knowledge of beam modification, custom molds, shields, wedges, and compensation filters

• Experience working in an oncology center setting
