Description

Qualifications:

Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration
Minimum of 2 years of post–A.A.S. acute clinical care experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment health clearance requirements

Shift & Schedule:

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Every other weekend required, including holidays as scheduled
Block scheduling is not available

Candidate Preferences:

Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from the facility
Pediatric experience is required

Key Responsibilities:

Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapies to patients
Initiate, monitor, and manage oxygen therapy
Assist physicians with the initiation and ongoing management of continuous mechanical ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as required
Conduct pulmonary function tests
Perform radial arterial punctures
Provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision
