Position: Registered Nurse – CVOR

Location: Jackson, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Actively participates in identifying variances from patient goals, developing solutions, and ensuring implementation of appropriate interventions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using evidence-based practice standards

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

• Delegate and supervise nursing care activities as appropriate

• Document patient care and education accurately and timely

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members

• Participate in problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives within the unit

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience (required)

• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans

• Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services in a fast-paced surgical environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

• Current Michigan RN license (active)

• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
