Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Portland, OR
Duration:13-week contract
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses

• Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators

• Perform patient positioning, immobilization, and beam modification techniques

• Conduct CT simulations and pretreatment procedures as needed

• Ensure radiation safety and adherence to treatment protocols

• Collaborate with physicians, physicists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams

• Perform chart checks, treatment documentation, and quality assurance activities

• Educate patients and families on treatment processes and safety

• Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response procedures as needed

Required Skills and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist

• Active ARRT (T) certification

• Active state license

• Current BLS certification

• Experience with external beam radiation therapy

• Proficiency with Epic charting system

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and patient care standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital or adult outpatient setting

• Familiarity with Elekta treatment units (Infinity, Versa HD)

• Experience with Mosaiq, IMRT, SBRT, respiratory gating, and stereotactic radiosurgery

• Experience with CT simulation, tumor localization, and custom immobilization devices

• Exposure to advanced techniques such as ExacTrac, DIBH, and craniospinal treatments

• Strong patient education and emergency response skills
