Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient

Location: Leslie, MI

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day shift – 5x8 hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility programs

• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and post-operative conditions

• Educate patients on proper use of assistive devices and home exercise programs

• Document patient progress and treatment sessions using required charting systems

• Travel locally within the area to provide therapy services as needed

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient rehabilitation goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant

• BLS certification

• Experience in outpatient therapy settings

• Proficiency with documentation/charting systems

• Strong knowledge of orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation

• Ability to work independently and travel locally for patient visits

• First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience across multiple settings: outpatient clinic, acute care, rehabilitation hospital, or SNF

• Familiarity with assistive devices and equipment including walkers, crutches, gait belts, prosthetics, and slings

• Experience treating conditions such as total hip/knee replacements, spinal conditions, post-stroke rehab, Parkinson's disease, MS, TBI, and SCI

• Willingness to consider a longer-term (1-year) contract
