Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Respiratory Therapy
Location: Akron, OH
Duration: 12 weeks (8- or 12-week contracts available)
Shift: Days, 3x12-Hour (11:00–23:30); floating to affiliated facilities may be required

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across acute care hospital settings

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and bronchial hygiene therapies

• Perform and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation

• Assist with airway management, including intubation and extubation support

• Respond to rapid responses and code situations as part of the interdisciplinary care team

• Monitor ventilator settings, blood gas results, and patient responses to therapy

• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment as appropriate

• Document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the medical record

• Float to other affiliated acute care facilities as needed to support staffing needs

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital setting

• Strong clinical skills in ventilator management and respiratory assessment

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to float between facilities within the health system as needed

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through NBRC (required)

• BLS – Basic Life Support (required, active and in hand)

• Active Ohio Respiratory Care License (required; must be in hand at time of submission)
