Shift: 12-Hour Shifts | 6 shifts per 2 weeks
Hours: 07:00–19:30 & 11:00–23:30
Weekends: Every other weekend
Call: No call required

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pre/Post-Op Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient PACU / Recovery Room at a Downtown Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care and PACU experience and be able to deliver high-quality patient care with minimal orientation.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license

• BLS certification (must be current or able to recertify)

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care hospital of similar size and acuity

• Inpatient PACU and Critical Care experience required

• Travel nurses must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• EPIC EMR experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• No history of professional license or certification suspension, investigation, or professional liability claims

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

• Subject to drug screening and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver patient care in an acute care PACU setting

• Provide safe, efficient pre- and post-operative nursing care with minimal supervision

• Monitor patient recovery, identify complications, and intervene appropriately

• Accurately document care and patient status in EPIC EMR

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
