Description
Title: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Burlington, VT
Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00–19:30), weekends as needed
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide inpatient respiratory therapy care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
-
Deliver respiratory support in Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and Level III NICU settings (PICU preferred)

Manage and monitor patients requiring advanced respiratory support and mechanical ventilation
-
Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilatory support according to physician orders and clinical protocols
-
Respond to respiratory emergencies, rapid responses, and code situations
-
Administer respiratory medications and treatments safely and effectively
-
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment

Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic EMR
-
Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays as required

Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and professional practice guidelines
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

Required experience in Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and Level III NICU
-
PICU experience preferred
-
Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)

Teaching hospital experience required
-
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required, non-negotiable)

Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to work in high-acuity environments
-
Reliable transportation required due to limited public transit availability
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – required (CRT not accepted)

State Respiratory Therapy License – required (pending licenses considered case by case)
-
BLS (American Heart Association) – required
-
ACLS – required
-
PALS – required
-
NRP – required (must be in hand at time of submission)
