Title: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00–07:30), weekends required

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy care to adult and geriatric patients in critical care, emergency department, Med/Surg, and PCU settings

• Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and Client 860 ventilators

• Perform ventilator troubleshooting, weaning, and extubation as clinically indicated

• Administer respiratory medications via aerosol, nebulizer, MDI, trach collar, and T-piece

• Deliver inhaled therapies including bronchodilators, steroids, nitric oxide, inhaled Flolan, and other critical care medications

• Perform airway management including tracheostomy care, suctioning, sputum collection, and pulmonary hygiene

• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans

• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support rapid response/code situations as needed

• Float between campuses and units as required based on patient care needs

• Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the assigned charting system

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a large academic medical center

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist

• Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings (preferred)

• Strong knowledge of ventilator management and advanced respiratory modalities

• Proficiency in medication delivery systems and airway management techniques

• Ability to work independently on night shifts and adapt to floating assignments

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

• Previous travel experience preferred

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – required

• Ohio State Respiratory Therapy License – required, in hand

• BLS (American Heart Association) – required

• ACLS – preferred

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – preferred

• High School Diploma – required
