Description

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift – 3 × 12-hour shifts
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours per Week: 36

Position Overview

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across critical and acute care settings. This role includes working in NICU, PICU, MICU, ER, and other high-acuity units, delivering high-quality patient-centered respiratory therapy services.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
Experience in NICU, PICU, MICU, ER, Adult and Pediatric General Care, Critical Care, Emergency Trauma, and Neonatal care

Education Requirements

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)

Required Certifications and Licensure

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Valid New York State Education Department (NYSED) Respiratory Therapist license
BLS (Primary Source Verification required)
ACLS
PALS
NRP

Preferred Certifications

Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
Additional ICU-related certifications

Skills and Competencies

Strong clinical skills in adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory care
Ability to function effectively in high-acuity and emergency settings
Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
