Description
Title: Radiology / Cardiology – Interventional Radiology Tech
Location: Fayetteville, NC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00–17:00), weekends and call required
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide interventional radiology support in short-term acute care and teaching hospital settings
-
Prepare procedure rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for IR procedures
-
Assist physicians during vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures
-
Perform patient monitoring, vital signs, and EKGs during procedures
-
Administer contrast media under physician supervision according to protocols
-
Respond to procedure emergencies and provide support during call shifts
-
Float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units as required
-
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety
-
Maintain aseptic technique, radiation safety standards, and infection control protocols
-
Document procedures, patient status, and interventions accurately in Epic EMR
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years of recent interventional radiology experience
-
First-time travelers accepted

Experience in Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital preferred

Ability to work weekends and call as scheduled

Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork in high-acuity procedural environments
Required Certifications & Licensure:
-
State Radiologic Technologist License – required, active and in hand
-
ACLS (American Heart Association) – required, active and in hand
-
EKG competency – required prior to start
