Title: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)
Location: Cleveland, OH
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00–07:30)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized respiratory therapy care to neonatal, pediatric, and CVICU patients

• Deliver respiratory support in NICU, PICU, and PEDS critical care settings (Level 4 care)

• Manage and monitor patients requiring advanced respiratory support and mechanical ventilation

• Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilatory support according to physician orders and clinical protocols

• Respond to respiratory emergencies, rapid responses, and code situations

• Administer respiratory medications and treatments safely and effectively

• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR

• Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including night shifts and potential floating to other units (Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, Hillcrest NICU)

• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and professional practice guidelines

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in PEDS, NICU, or PICU

• Experience in high-acuity, level 4 pediatric critical care settings required

• Prior teaching hospital experience preferred

• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to work independently in high-acuity environments

• Ability to complete two fingerprint background checks prior to start

• Must be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10-panel cotinine drug screen

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – must have Ohio RRT license in hand

• NBRC Certification – required, active and in hand

• BLS (American Heart Association) – required, active and in hand

• Advanced NRP – required, active and in hand

• PALS – required, active and in hand
