Description
Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU / Pediatric Critical Care
Location: Cleveland, OH
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
Job Responsibilities
-
Provide advanced respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in high-acuity settings
-
Deliver respiratory therapy services across NICU (Level IV), PICU, CVICU, and Pediatric units
-
Manage and monitor ventilators, high-frequency ventilation, CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems
-
Perform airway management, suctioning, blood gas sampling, and respiratory assessments
-
Assist with neonatal and pediatric resuscitation and emergency interventions
-
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
-
Accurately document patient care and respiratory interventions per facility standards
-
Float to affiliated pediatric and NICU units as needed, including regional children's and rehabilitation facilities

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
Required Skills & Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
-
Required experience in NICU (Level IV), PICU, and Pediatric critical care
-
Strong competency in neonatal and pediatric ventilator management
-
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
-
Flexibility to float between pediatric specialty units as required
-
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Required Certifications & Licensure
-
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NBRC (required, active)
-
Ohio RRT License (required, active and in hand at submission)
-
BLS – Basic Life Support (required, active)
-
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Advanced) (required, active)
-
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required, active)
