Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage is required

Position Overview:
The Med-Surg unit at Mount Sinai Morningside provides high-quality nursing care to adult patients with medical and surgical needs. The Clinical Nurse (RN) delivers safe, competent, and evidence-based care, integrating nursing theory, research, and organizational standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, critical thinking in care management, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient/family education, and participation in quality and safety initiatives.

Requirements:
Licensure:

NYS RN License – Required

Experience:

Minimum 2 years RN experience – Required
Minimum 2 years medical/surgical experience – Required
EPIC EMR experience – Highly preferred

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications:

BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS – Required

Unit: Med-Surg Tele – Mount Sinai Morningside
Unit Beds: 35
Average Daily Census: 33–34 patients
Patient Age Group: Adults
Patient Ratios: Variable based on census
ED Boarder Unit coverage required
