Description
Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology
Location: Orange, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 17:00, Monday–Friday)
Job Responsibilities
-
Perform PET scans and general nuclear medicine procedures for adult patients
-
Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and in compliance with handling, storage, and disposal regulations
-
Conduct research PET scans using investigational ligands as scheduled
-
Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and maintain imaging quality standards
-
Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
-
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in electronic medical record systems
-
Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols at all times
-
Support department workflow and assist with patient preparation and post-procedure monitoring

Participate in ongoing training and annual competency modules as required
Required Skills & Experience
-
Experience performing nuclear medicine procedures (PET, SPECT, and general nuclear medicine)

Knowledge of radioactive material safety and patient care during nuclear imaging procedures
-
Strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and patient communication skills
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital environment

EPIC electronic medical record experience required
Required Certifications & Licensure
-
Active California State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (required, in hand)

ARRT (N) – Nuclear Medicine (required)

CNMT – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (required)
-
NMTCB – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (required)

BLS – Basic Life Support (required, active)
