Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT)
Location: Akron, OH
Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x12-Hour (11:00 – 23:30)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care services to adult and pediatric patients in an acute care hospital setting

• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen delivery, aerosol treatments, and airway management

• Perform ventilator management, monitoring, and troubleshooting

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor respiratory status, reporting changes to the care team

• Assist with emergency airway management and rapid response situations as needed

• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results as appropriate

• Document respiratory treatments and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

• Float to affiliated hospital locations as needed based on staffing and patient care needs

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and respiratory care protocols

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital setting

• Strong knowledge of ventilator management and critical care respiratory procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills

• Flexibility to float between facilities when required

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) (required)

• NBRC Certification – National Board for Respiratory Care (required, active)

• BLS – Basic Life Support (required, active)

• Active Ohio Respiratory Care License
