Position: MS Ortho RN
Location: Tyler, TX
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00)

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years of MS Ortho experience

• First-time travelers not accepted

Unit Details:

• Beds: 36

• Patient Ratio: 1:6

• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity

Schedule Requirements:

• Weekend requirement: Half of scheduled shifts per contract

Certifications:

• Required: BLS

• Preferred: NIH, ACLS

Charting System:

• EPIC experience required

Skills Required:

• Med/Surg and MS/Tele

• Colostomy care

• Feeding tube management

• Pre/Post hemodialysis

• Renal failure

• Accessing ports

• Blood product administration

• Central line blood draw

• Peripheral IV management

• Phlebotomy

• PICC line management

• Starting IVs

• Heparin, PCA

• Spinal cord injuries

• Traumatic brain injury

• Ortho trauma

• Total joint replacements

• Surgical drains

• Oxygen therapies (HFNC, NC, face masks, portable O2 tanks)

• Oral suctioning

• Tracheostomy care

• Wound care
