Description
Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Tech – Radiology / Cardiology
Location: York, PA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10-Hour (06:00 – 16:30)
Job Responsibilities
-
Assist physicians during electrophysiology (EP) and invasive cardiology procedures
-
Perform accurate cardiac monitoring and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
-
Prepare and set up EP lab equipment and supplies
-
Perform EKG lead placement and baseline cardiac measurements
-
Prep and maintain sterile access sites and procedural fields
-
Function as scrub and/or circulator during EP procedures
-
Assist with electrophysiology studies including arrhythmia induction and conduction studies
-
Support cardiac ablation procedures and device implant cases
-
Assist with pacemaker and AICD insertion and programming
-
Participate in left atrial appendage (LAA) closure procedures
-
Utilize vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose preferred)
-
Ensure proper infection control and sterile technique at all times
-
Accurately document procedures using EPIC
Required Skills & Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Tech
-
Recent experience in an EP Lab or invasive cardiology setting
-
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm recognition and hemodynamic monitoring
-
Experience circulating and scrubbing EP procedures
-
Familiarity with fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment (preferred)
-
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume procedural environment

EPIC charting experience required
-
Flexibility to float and work weekends as needed
Required Certifications & Licensure
-
BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC, active)
-
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA or ARC, active)
