Description
Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Eureka, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 17:30)
Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements
Responsibilities:
-
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams for adult and geriatric patients.
-
Conduct advanced breast imaging procedures including 3D mammography and stereotactic biopsies.
-
Assist with fine needle aspirations and needle localization procedures.

Maintain infection control and isolation precautions.

Document exams using the facility's charting system.

Operate and maintain mammography equipment including Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX systems.

Provide high-quality patient care in a high-volume outpatient imaging environment (approximately 30 patients per day).
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of mammography technologist experience.

Current BLS certification.
-
ARRT and ARRT Advanced certifications.
-
Valid California radiologic technologist license.

Proficiency with screening and diagnostic mammography.

Experience with 3D mammography and stereotactic biopsy procedures.

Ability to work a block schedule (Saturday–Monday) if required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX equipment.

Prior experience in outpatient imaging or acute care hospital mammography departments.
