Title: Cath Lab Technologist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Cath Lab procedures for adult and geriatric patients

• Scrub and maintain a sterile field during procedures

• Set up and operate Cath Lab equipment and fluoroscopy systems

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

• Support structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman) (required – hard stop)

• Perform EKG lead placement and prep vascular access sites

• Monitor hemodynamics and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias

• Assist with vascular closure devices (e.g., Perclose, StarClose)

• Maintain, stock, and manage Cath Lab equipment and supplies

• Follow infection control, isolation precautions, and sterile technique

• Participate in call coverage, including weekday and weekend rotation

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience (facility requires 2 years in Cath Lab, Structural Heart, and EP)

• Structural heart experience required (HARD STOP)

• Experience in EP lab and hybrid OR preferred

• Proficiency in:

  • Cardiac catheterizations (left & right heart)

  • PCI / PTCA

  • Stent placement and angioplasty

  • Peripheral vascular angiography and interventions (upper & lower extremities)

  • Pacemaker insertion (temporary & permanent)

  • IABP and Impella

  • Hemodynamic monitoring

  • Scrub procedures and fluoroscopy studies

  • PACS and C-arm procedures

• Experience with vascular studies, venous studies, and dialysis graft interventions preferred

Certifications & Licensure (Required)

• BLS

• ACLS

• ARRT (R)

• Fluoroscopy Permit

• Active California state license at submission

• CA CRT preferred
