Job Description

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to support a fast-paced adult Level Emergency Department in Rochester, NY. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical competency, critical care decision-making, emergency trauma exposure, and proficiency with EPIC charting. Must be comfortable managing diverse patient populations, including trauma, neurologic, cardiac, respiratory, and pediatric cases.

Scheduling & Facility Details

• Shift: 7p–7a (4x12)

• Weekends: Every other

• Holiday Requirement: Available every other holiday if needed

• Charting: EPIC (required)

• RTO Requests: Must be submitted with profile

• Call-Off Policy: Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Radius Rule:

  • RNs living within 75 miles are NOT accepted

  • Locals accepted for LPNs only

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York RN License (No pending; NY is non-compact)

• AHA BLS

• AHA ACLS

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Required Clinical Skills

• IV therapy — blood products, central line care, starting/maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors

• Respiratory support — CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management

• Neuro & trauma care — strokes (CVA), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, TBI

• Cardiac monitoring — rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management

• Emergency response — adult/pediatric ED, ortho trauma, gunshot wounds

• Infection control & triage — isolation precautions, triage assessment

• Pediatric exposure — including pediatric spinal cord injury support
