Description
Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Location: Lancaster, CA
Duration: 13 weeks (13–26 weeks preferred)
Shift: Day shift | 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
Weekly Work Guarantee: 36 hours
May include occasional weekend coverage and floating as needed
Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills & Requirements:
Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy treatment services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
-
Assist with evaluations and implementation of individualized treatment plans
-
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, lifting, and transfers
-
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
-
Participate in home assessments and pre-discharge planning as needed
-
Document treatments and patient progress using required charting systems
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
Required Qualifications:

Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license

BLS certification
-
Minimum 1 year of experience

Experience using any charting system

Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting
Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in LTC and/or LTAC specialty

New graduates will be considered
