Description

Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Location: Lancaster, CA
Duration: 13 weeks (13–26 weeks preferred)
Shift: Day shift | 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
Weekly Work Guarantee: 36 hours
May include occasional weekend coverage and floating as needed

Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills & Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatment services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

  • Assist with evaluations and implementation of individualized treatment plans

  • Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, lifting, and transfers

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques

  • Participate in home assessments and pre-discharge planning as needed

  • Document treatments and patient progress using required charting systems

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Required Qualifications:

  • Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license

  • BLS certification

  • Minimum 1 year of experience

  • Experience using any charting system

  • Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in LTC and/or LTAC specialty

  • New graduates will be considered
