Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Placentia, CA
Duration: 13 weeks (13–26 weeks preferred)
Shift: Day shift | 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
Weekly Work Guarantee: 36 hours
May include occasional weekend coverage
May be required to float to other locations if census is low

Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills & Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient physical therapy treatment services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Assist with implementation of individualized orthopedic treatment plans

• Treat primarily outpatient orthopedic patients, with some pediatric patients

• Monitor patient progress and report findings to supervising Physical Therapist

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, treatment plans, and injury prevention

• Document treatments and patient progress in accordance with facility standards

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license

• Minimum 6 months of outpatient orthopedic experience

• Ability to work day shifts with flexibility for floating and occasional weekend coverage

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12 months of outpatient orthopedic experience

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

• New graduates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
