Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8 (Mon–Fri) with variable start times between 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM; weekend coverage and rotating on-call as needed

Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations across inpatient, outpatient, and portable settings for all age groups including neonates through geriatrics.

• Conduct routine and trauma imaging for chest, abdomen/GI, head, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremities.

• Operate mobile equipment and assist with C-arm/surgical procedures.

• Ensure image quality, proper positioning, radiation safety, and infection control practices.

• Utilize PACS and Epic for image documentation and workflow management.

• Participate in rotating on-call schedule and provide weekend coverage as required.

• Provide lead technologist coverage when supervisors or designated leads are unavailable, including workflow oversight and acting as shift point-of-contact.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of recent X-ray technologist experience.

• Active BLS certification.

• Proficiency with Epic charting system and PACS.

• Experience in adult acute care, adult and pediatric outpatient imaging, bedside/portable procedures, and abdomen/GI studies.

• Competency in imaging of chest/thorax, skull/orbits, cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine, pelvis, and comprehensive upper and lower extremity exams.

• Ability to perform trauma imaging and operate mobile radiography equipment.

• Willingness to travel and function in a lead role when operationally required.

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.
