• Start Date: 03/03/2026

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift: Nights – 3×12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Holidays: Every other holiday, if needed

• Floating: Yes – within skillset (ICU and/or MS)

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Locals: Not accepted within 75-mile radius (RN)

🩺 Unit Information

• Unit: SSDU (PCU / Stepdown)

• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics

• Ratios: 1:4–5 (Days/Nights/Weekends)

• Daily Census: ~22 patients

• Beds: 24

• Scrubs: Navy blue & white

Common Diagnoses:

• Long-term pulmonary patients

• ENT surgical patients

• Post-surgical patients requiring stepdown-level care

🧠 Required Experience & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 1 year PCU/Stepdown

• Telemetry & Cardiac Monitoring

• Dysrhythmia interpretation & management

• Rapid Response / Code Team participation

• Cardiac drips (no titration)

• Oxygen therapy & non-invasive airway management

• Blood product administration

• Central & peripheral line care

• IV therapy & phlebotomy

• Isolation precautions

🧾 Charting & Certifications

• Charting System: Epic (REQUIRED)

• Certifications:

  • BLS

  • ACLS

  • NIHSS
