Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Washington DC, USA 20037
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts – Night Shift
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
-
Work in the trauma room as the bedside Trauma RN
-
Manage patient ratios up to 1:5
-
Perform advanced critical care interventions including medication titrations, arterial line management, chest tube care, and mass blood transfusion
-
Provide care to a diverse patient population including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, critical care, and trauma patients
-
Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs
-
Ensure patient safety, quality of care, and a positive patient experience

Document patient care using Cerner EMR
Required Qualification:
-
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience

Willingness and ability to work in the trauma room as bedside Trauma RN
-
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse program
-
Current active RN license in state/district of practice
-
Cerner experience required
Current Certifications:
-
BLS (Basic Life Support)
-
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
-
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
-
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
-
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Highly Desired
-
Prior experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma centers
Distance Requirement:
-
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
