✅ Hard Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Neuro-Progressive / Stepdown OR ICU experience

• Minimum 2 years RN experience

• Epic experience REQUIRED

• Must pass a Neuro-Progressive competency exam after offer

• Non-local only (AMC no longer accepts locals as of 1/11/24 — specific counties excluded)

💰 Pay Snapshot

• Vendor remit rate: $90/hr

  • (Actual take-home depends on stipend structure, but this is solid for upstate NY days)

🏥 Unit Reality / What They're Likely Looking For

Even though the posting is light on details, AMC Neuro-Progressive typically expects comfort with:

• Neuro assessments (q2–q4 neuro checks)

• Stroke, post-thrombectomy, brain bleeds

• Seizure monitoring

• EVDs / ICP monitoring (if ICU background)

• Cardiac & neuro monitoring

• Rapid response / neuro decline recognition

This is true stepdown acuity — not med-surg neuro.
