Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Shift: Night Shift | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a night-shift travel assignment in Saratoga Springs, NY. The ideal candidate will be highly competent in labor management, cesarean section circulation, fetal monitoring, and newborn stabilization, with the ability to support nursery care as needed until neonatal transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients

• Circulate and assist during cesarean section procedures

• Perform and interpret fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to changes

• Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn care and stabilization

• Provide ongoing nursery care until neonatal transport when required

• Accurately document patient care using hospital systems

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and evidence-based practices

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery clinical experience

• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Proven experience circulating C-sections

• Nursery experience including newborn assessment, stabilization, and continued care until transport
  (Critical long-term neonatal care not required)

• Current BLS (AHA) certification

• Current NRP certification

• Fetal Monitoring Certification obtained within the past 2 years
