Description
Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II
Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Assignment Duration: January 26, 2026 – April 25, 2026 (13 weeks)
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, four weekdays per week (one weekday off)

On-Call: Required
-
Approximately 4 weeknight call shifts/month (5:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

1 weekend call/month (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 6:30 AM)

Position Overview
This is an urgent need for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures. The ideal candidate is a strong scrub technologist with broad cath/EP experience who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
-
Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures

Scrub and monitor procedures, maintaining sterile technique throughout cases
-
Recognize and respond to ECG changes, lethal arrhythmias, and cardiac emergencies using ACLS protocols

Identify coronary anatomy, pressure waveforms, and hemodynamic data; calculate cardiac outputs and ACTs
-
Assist physicians during PTCA, atherectomy, thrombectomy, and other interventional procedures
-
Operate and support fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems

Prepare procedure rooms, case carts, and necessary supplies for diagnostic and emergency cases

Document procedures accurately in cath lab documentation systems (Merge Hemo preferred)

Assist with staff orientation, training, and special projects as assigned

Communicate critical lab values (ABGs, electrolytes, BUN, creatinine, hemoglobin) to physicians promptly

Adhere to medical ethics, patient safety standards, and customer service expectations
Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Cardiac/Vascular Sonography, or equivalent)

Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience

Ability to scrub for all types of cardiac cath and EP procedures
Certifications (One of the Following Required)
-
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) – preferred
-
RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) – preferred
-
ARRT with Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI) experience
Additional Certifications:

BLS required
-
ACLS required (or within 6 months of hire)
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to scrub in a sterile environment for extended periods
-
Ability to wear lead aprons (up to 5 lbs.) for prolonged durations

Ability to assist with patient transfers and movement of stretchers/beds with team support
