Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: New York, NY 10019
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a clinical setting. The technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory and radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures, explaining exams and alleviating patient concerns

Operate radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images

Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff

Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards

Review and evaluate images for technical quality and make necessary adjustments

Accurately document procedures and patient care in departmental and patient records
-
Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues as needed

Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and ensure a clean, safe work environment

Participate in continuing education and maintain required competencies

Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare staff

Complete age-specific competencies and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
-
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT)
-
ARRT certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience

Current BLS certification required
-
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in a hospital or clinical setting
