Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: New York, NY 10019
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a clinical setting. The technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory and radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures, explaining exams and alleviating patient concerns

• Operate radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images

• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff

• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards

• Review and evaluate images for technical quality and make necessary adjustments

• Accurately document procedures and patient care in departmental and patient records

• Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues as needed

• Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and ensure a clean, safe work environment

• Participate in continuing education and maintain required competencies

• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare staff

• Complete age-specific competencies and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

• Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT)

• ARRT certification required

• Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience

• Current BLS certification required

• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills

• Experience performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in a hospital or clinical setting

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and patient care
