Title: Certified Orthopedic Technician
Location: Tarzana, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-Hour (08:30–17:30)

Job Responsibilities

• Function as a Certified Orthopedic Technician providing clinical support in an outpatient orthopedic setting

• Assist orthopedic physicians with patient care, procedures, and clinic flow

• Apply, remove, and adjust casts, splints, braces, and orthopedic devices

• Prepare patients for examinations and minor orthopedic procedures

• Provide patient education on cast care, brace use, and post-procedure instructions

• Maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper setup, cleanliness, and supply availability

• Assist with documentation and charting in EPIC according to facility standards

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care

• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times

• Float between clinic locations as needed to support staffing needs

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Orthopedic Technician – required

• Outpatient orthopedic clinic experience – required

• Strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures, casting, splinting, and bracing techniques

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment

• Comfortable floating between clinic locations as required

• Excellent communication, organization, and patient interaction skills

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Certified Orthopedic Technician through NBCOT – Required

• Active certification must be in hand at time of submission
