Radiation Therapist – Travel Contract

Location: Verona, NY
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Preferred Experience

• Varian TrueBeam

• CT Simulation

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program

• ARRT certification (Radiation Therapy)

• Active New York State Radiation Therapy license

• Minimum of 3–5 years of related clinical experience

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards

• Operate and maintain high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment while adhering to all safety protocols

• Interpret treatment prescriptions and accurately position patients for therapy delivery

• Prepare, operate, and monitor radiotherapy equipment, including:

  • Linear Accelerators

  • CT Simulator

  • Co-60 and other applicable systems

Simulation & Treatment Planning Support

• Perform CT simulation and localization procedures to determine tumor size and positioning

• Collect contours, physical factors, and patient data required for treatment planning

• Take radiographic images and portal films to verify treatment fields and volumes

• Photograph patients as needed for portal verification
