Position: RN CVICU
Facility: Saint Joseph Medical Center
Location: 7601 Osler Dr Towson, MD 21204
Shift: Rotational Day/Night 3x12hrs
Duration: 13 Weeks

CVICU RN – Rotating AM/PM | 36 Hours
Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of CVICU RN experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with prior CVICU experience
• Local travelers accepted at a reduced local rate (contact AM for details)

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: February 23, 2026, or ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift/Hours: 07:00–19:30 / 19:00–07:30 (rotating)

Licensure & Certifications:

• Required: MD RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI
• Preferred: OCN, TCNN

Scheduling Requirements:

• Weekends: Every third weekend required
• Holidays: Required as scheduled
• On-Call: 24–32 hours per rotating 8-week schedule
• Floating: Required to MSICU as needed

Unit Information:

• Average Daily Census: 3–5
• Beds on Unit: 6
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2

Common Patient Diagnoses:

• Post-operative cardiac surgery (CABG, MVR, AVR)
• Cardiac surgery readmissions / ICU bounce-backs
• Structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip)
• Pre-op patients on hospital intensivist list
• STEMI / NSTEMI
• Cardiogenic shock
• Inari procedures

Special Procedures / Unit Capabilities:

• First 6 hours post-op care involving:
  • Two or more inotropic medications
  • Hemodynamic instability and active cardiac output management
  • Extreme coagulopathy or open chest cases
  • OHS / Impella
  • ECMO (perfusionist on-site)
  • CRRT (dialysis on-site)
  • IABP
  • Care at surgeon's discretion

Hourly Breakdown Total Hourly Pay Rate: $ 65.00 Per Hour On W2(Taxable): $ 18.00 Per Hour Stipend(Non-Taxable): $ 47.00 Per Hour Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross: $ 2,340.00 Per Week On W2(Taxable): $ 648.00 Per Week Stipend(Non-Taxable): $ 1,692.00 Per Week OT Rate ON W-2 $ 27.00 Per Hour Hours per week: $ 36.00 Hours
