This role supports a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit, caring for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and cardiac conditions. The RN will provide direct patient care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary support teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to MS/Tele patients

• Monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms

• Managing dysrhythmias and initiating emergency responses as needed

• Administering medications and IV therapy

• Coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams

• Floating to other units as required

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience – Required

• Prior charge nurse experience – Preferred

• Previous travel nursing experience – Required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• BLS certification – Required

Clinical Skills

• Med/Surg and telemetry nursing

• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Use of Rapid Response and Code Teams

• IV therapy and peripheral line care

• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management

• Adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Charting System

• Experience with any charting system – Required

Schedule & Staffing Details

• Shift: Nights – 4x12-hour shifts

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Block Scheduling: No

• Patient Ratio: 1:5 (days, nights, weekends)

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

• Float Required: Yes

• Call Required: No

Orientation & Time Off

• Orientation: 24 hours

• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 request allowed
