Registered Nurse – IMC (Float Pool)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night | 4×12s (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) (Option of 3x12 available)

Job Overview

This RN position is for IMC within the Float Pool. The traveler will float between Med-Surg, Telemetry, and IMC units and must be comfortable managing 1:4–1:6 patient ratios.

Recent EPIC experience is REQUIRED (hard stop).
PCU / IMC / Stepdown experience is REQUIRED (hard stop).

Requirements

• Active RN license

• Minimum 2 years of experience in:

  • Med/Surg Tele

  • IMC / Stepdown (hospital setting)

• Travel experience required

• Recent EPIC charting experience required

• BLS & ACLS required

• NIHSS preferred

• Charge nurse experience preferred

• First-time travelers: Not accepted

Skills & Competencies

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation

• Cardiac & insulin drips (including titration)

• Telemetry monitoring (on-unit & remote)

• Ventilator & tracheostomy care

• Chest tubes & pleur-evac systems

• Central lines, PICCs, midlines

• Blood transfusions, TPN, feeding tubes

• Post-cardiac cath care (TR Band)

• Rapid response & code team utilization

Unit Details

• Float Required: Yes

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

• Weekend Shifts per Contract: 12

• Scheduling: Self-scheduling

• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics

Traveler may float to:

• IMC

• Med-Surg

• Observation

• Trauma surgical

• Stroke

• Palliative & Renal

• ED inpatient

• Women's & bariatric surgery units

Vaccination & Compliance (No Exceptions)

• COVID-19 Vaccine required

• Flu Vaccine required
