Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Utica, NY 13502

Duration: 13-week contract

Shift:

• Evening/Night shift

• 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

• Assess, triage, monitor, and manage high-acuity emergency patients

• Deliver care for common ED diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure

• Operate and manage specialty emergency equipment such as rapid infusors and temperature management systems

• Float within scope of practice to meet departmental needs

• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical record system

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience

• Pediatric emergency experience required

• Active New York State RN license

• Ability to work evening/night shifts

• Experience with EPIC EMR

Current Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)

• ACLS (AHA)

• PALS (AHA)

• NIHSS

• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Charge nurse experience or charge capability

• Prior travel nursing experience

• Experience caring for high-acuity, high-volume emergency departments

• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius (local rate applies)
