Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – CVPICU (Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit)
Location: Charleston, SC 29401
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift:
-
3x12-hour Rotating shifts
-
7:00 PM – 7:30 AM || 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
Weekend and holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide specialized critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients
-
Care for patients with congenital heart disease and complex cardiac conditions
-
Manage post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including VAD and heart transplant cases
-
Monitor and support patients requiring advanced therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric cardiac care teams
-
Float within scope of practice to meet unit and facility needs
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience
-
Strong cardiovascular and pediatric critical care experience
-
Eligible for first-time travelers with required experience
-
Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
Current Certifications:
-
BLS (AHA required)
-
PALS (AHA required)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
ACLS (AHA)
-
Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience
