Registered Nurse – IMC / IICU (Intermediate Intensive Care)

Duration

13-week travel assignment (standard unless otherwise specified)

Shift

12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
3*12 hr nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult IMC/IICU patients with trauma, medical, surgical, and neurological conditions

• Perform frequent assessments and interventions every 1–2 hours based on patient acuity

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry

• Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips

• Respond to emergencies, rapid response escalations, and patient condition changes

• Care for patients transferred from ICU or admitted directly to the unit

• Utilize specialized patient-handling equipment including ceiling lifts and repositioning devices

• Float to qualified units or campuses as needed based on staffing requirements

• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or compact/multistate license (pending licenses not accepted)

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience

• At least 1 completed travel assignment

• Previous ICU or IICU experience with patient acuity of 1:3

• Ventilator management experience

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC charting experience

Current Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IMC, IICU, ICU, PCU, DOU, or Stepdown units

• Strong proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and management

• Experience working in high-acuity progressive care or critical care environments

• Ability to float across units while maintaining safe patient care standards
