Description
Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician
Location: Reno, Nevada
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift | Start Time: 6:30 AM
Schedule Details:

Workdays will be determined upon arrival; shifts will fall Monday through Friday

On-call required for nights and weekends (approximately 7–10 on-call shifts per month)

Weekend call shifts are divided into 12-hour blocks
-
Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Position Summary
The Certified Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room and assisting the surgical team during procedures. This role ensures all instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and available for both scheduled and emergency surgeries.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of recent operating room experience, including:

ENT

General Surgery

Gynecology

Neuro (Cranial & Spine)

Orthopedics

Urology
-
Vascular Surgery

Robotic-Assisted Surgery
Required Education & Certifications

High School Diploma or equivalent — Required

CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) — Required

NBSTSA Certification — Required
-
BLS (Basic Life Support) — Required
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment

Assemble and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and case carts

Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments

Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical equipment

Support both scheduled and emergency surgical cases

Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and surgical team members
