Shift:
Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 16:00)

Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements:

• Provide physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including sensory response, skin integrity, pain, strength, range of motion (AROM/AAROM/PROM), and vital signs

• Develop, implement, and reassess individualized plans of care and long-term goals

• Deliver interventions for cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, vestibular, and post-surgical conditions

• Treat patients with diagnoses including general medicine, total joint replacements, post-operative orthopedic cases, post–cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patients, stroke rehabilitation, vestibular disorders, and chronic neurological conditions

• Perform gait training, extremity mobilization, transfer training, and therapeutic exercises

• Utilize assistive devices and equipment including rolling walkers, crutches, sliding boards, Hoyer lifts, hospital beds, alarms, and ceiling lifts

• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, injury prevention, and discharge planning

• Monitor and manage patients with cardiopulmonary conditions such as CHF, COPD, and post-MI

• Document evaluations, progress notes, reassessments, and billing in the electronic medical record

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care

• Follow hospital safety policies, infection control practices, and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care physical therapy experience

• Active Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania or Compact PT license

• Current BLS certification

• Epic charting experience required

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed

• Ability to care for patients with infectious conditions, including COVID-19
