Description
Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Springfield, MA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 – 17:00)
Alternate schedules available: 40 hours or 30–32 hours (see details below)
Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements
Role Overview:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans, while ensuring patient safety, proper imaging protocols, and high-quality diagnostic results. May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed.
Clinical Responsibilities:

Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET scans

Start and maintain IV access
-
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol

Ensure patient safety and proper positioning during procedures
-
Maintain equipment and adhere to radiation safety standards
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
-
Float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities as required
Schedule Options:

40-hour option:
-
Sunday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Thursday: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

30–32 hour option:
-
Sunday: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Monday: 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 6:30 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Experience Requirements:
-
Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
-
Travel experience not required
Certifications (Required):
-
ARRT and/or NMTCB
-
BLS / CPR
Skills & Competencies:
-
PET scan experience
-
IV initiation and maintenance
-
Strong professional knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures

Ability to work independently and float as needed
