Description

Title: Registered Nurse – Utilization Review (Remote)
Location: Torrance, CA 90503
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Day, 5x8 (08:00–16:30)
Start Date: 02/23/2026

Requirements:

Experience: 3 years acute Case Management/Utilization Review (hospital setting only — not health plan/IPA)
Charting System: Epic (required)
Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
Ratios: 1:40
Weekend Requirement: Varies
Remote: 100% remote (must work PST)
Additional Hard Stops:
- InterQual required
- Must meet CA/Medi-Cal regulatory knowledge
- Must follow strict CA labor law compliance (no OT, no work off the clock)

Preferred:

Skills: Pre-cert review, prior auth, retrospective review, disease management, plan of care, CPT/DRG knowledge
Experience: HMOs, IPAs, Medicare UM processes (CC44, ABN, HINN, MCSN)
