Clinical Dietitian – Bariatric Outpatient Clinic

Shift:
Day shift – 4x8 or 5x8 hours (08:00 – 17:00); option for 4x10s (Tues–Fri)

Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements:
Provide outpatient nutrition care in a bariatric clinic serving adult patients. Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments, develop individualized plans of care, and provide counseling for bariatric surgery candidates and medically managed weight loss patients. Perform calorie counts, manage enteral nutrition and TPN as applicable, monitor intake and output, and address food–drug interactions. Support surgical consults for gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, band removals, and related procedures, including gallbladder surgeries when associated with bariatric patients. Collaborate with APRNs and interdisciplinary teams, utilizing Epic for documentation. Maintain age-specific competency for adult populations. Floating may be required within the clinic setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience

• RD/RDN certification

• BLS certification

• Experience with nutrition assessments, treatment planning, and bariatric patient care

• Ability to manage a 1:4 patient ratio

• Epic charting experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Teaching hospital or community hospital experience

• Experience with bariatric surgery programs and weight management clinics
