Description

Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Berlin, VT 05602
Duration: 36 weeks
Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Schedule & Coverage

Every other weekend required
Schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
Holidays required as needed
No block scheduling permitted
12-hour rotating shifts
Self-scheduling not available
Call not currently required

Patient Population & Coverage

All age groups, including ICU and Emergency Department floors
Facility does not have a dedicated NICU/PICU, but RTs play a significant role in neonatal and pediatric care

Requirements

Active RRT required
Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
All specialties worked must be clearly documented for each employment entry
EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years – NON-NEGOTIABLE

Ventilators & Respiratory Equipment:
- Hamilton C3 & T1 Ventilators
- V60 NIV
- Airvo 2 & Fisher & Paykel Heated HFNC
- Bubble CPAP

Ventilator Management

Managed by Respiratory Therapy in collaboration with Pulmonary Critical Care physicians and Hospitalist services

Unit Protocols & Procedures

External transports for adult critical care patients
RT-driven protocols for:
- Bronchodilator therapy
- Lung hyperinflation
- Airway clearance
- Non-invasive ventilation (NIV)
Mechanical ventilation protocols utilized for ICU patients
