Description

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

📍 Location: Berlin, Vermont
🕒 Shift: Day | 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Facility Overview

88 Inpatient Beds
Women & Children's Unit (Labor & Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum, LDRP)
7 inpatient beds 3 triage rooms
~300 deliveries per year

Experience Required

Minimum 1 year LDRP experience (Required)
Minimum 1 year specialty clinical experience

Certifications

Required:

Preferred:

ACLS
PALS or PEARS

Patient Ratios

Active Labor / Pitocin: 1:1
Couplets: 2–3 (4–6 patients depending on census/acuity)

Unit Details

No circulating/scrubbing required
3 LNAs/Perinatal Techs available (varies by shift)
Orientation: 3 shifts (12 hours each)
Floating: Helping hands only (no patient assignments)
Documentation: Epic
Monitoring: Philips Intellispace
Medication System: Pyxis

Dress Code

Light blue scrubs (provided by unit)
Closed-toe shoes
Jewelry removable in OR
Nails trimmed and polish not chipped

Additional Info

Math test required
N-95 fit testing required
LDRP model with some Med/Surg overflow
