Description
Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Medford, OR
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night – 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult patients in acute care, ICU, and emergency department settings
• Perform airway management including intubation assistance, extubation, suctioning, nasal and oral airway placement, and tracheostomy care
• Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and oxygen delivery systems
• Troubleshoot ventilator alarms, including high-pressure alarms, and assist with ventilator weaning
• Administer respiratory treatments via handheld nebulizers, T-piece, trach collar, and bag-mask ventilation
• Provide oxygen therapy using ET tubes, HFNC, trach collars, and T-piece systems
• Perform sputum specimen collection and maintain airway clearance techniques
• Deliver care across multiple units and float as needed based on patient care demands
• Utilize computerized documentation systems to accurately chart respiratory care and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Work night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage as required by contract
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Strong skills in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway management
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Willingness to float between units and affiliated facilities as needed
• Previous travel experience not required
• Epic charting experience — required
Required Certifications & Licensure
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — required
• BLS (AHA) — required
