Description

Job Title: MSDU RN (Medical Step-Down Unit Registered Nurse)
📍 Location: Rochester, NY
🚨 MUST HAVE NY LICENSE IN HAND – NO EXCEPTIONS

Shift Details

Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidates: Must reside outside a 75-mile radius
Minimum Experience: 1 Year

Requirements

Active New York RN License (Required – No Exceptions)
BLS Certification (Required)
EPIC Charting Experience (Required)
Ability to safely manage 1:5 to 1:7 Med-Surg patient ratio

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Participation in Rapid Response and Code Teams
Continuous telemetry monitoring

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy

Peripheral IV line insertion, care, and management
Phlebotomy skills

Respiratory Care

Nasal cannula and oxygen face mask management
Portable oxygen tank usage
Non-invasive airway management including BiPAP support

Professional Skills

Isolation precautions
Management of patients requiring advanced monitoring and specialized nursing care
