Description
Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Charleston, SC 29425
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night – 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
Job Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures for adult and pediatric patients in acute care and outpatient settings
• Operate fixed and mobile radiographic equipment, including bedside and portable exams
• Perform imaging of chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremities
• Assist with trauma imaging and urgent diagnostic procedures as needed
• Operate C-Arm equipment during surgical and interventional procedures
• Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE guidelines, and radiation safety standards
• Accurately document imaging procedures using the Epic charting system
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other buildings on the same campus as needed to meet operational needs
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage (approximately 3–4 days per month)
• Work scheduled night shifts with potential day-shift orientation during the first week
• Work required holidays per contract guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
• Experience performing mobile and portable radiographic procedures
• C-Arm experience required
• Ability to perform imaging across a wide range of patient ages, including neonatal through geriatric populations
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and radiation safety principles
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• First-time travelers accepted (previous travel experience preferred)
• Must provide a personal radiation badge (agency supplied)
Required Certifications & Licensure
• ARRT (R) – required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
• SCRQSA (R) accepted
